Managing security is not easy in Xi R2. The CMC offers less flexibility and especially visibility on your security configuration. 360view Release 2 is a replacement for the CMC of SAP BusinessObjects Xi R2.
By combining both 360view Release 1 with Release 2, we have bundled the migration toolkit for organizations that have yet to migrate. Release 2 allows you to configure your XiR2 security, but you need to map it out in your current BOE 5 or 6 and do a lot of work so security is exactly the same.
