RowGen rapidly generates safe, referentially correct file and database test data for enterprise data warehouses. RowGen can both randomly generate fake, but realistic test data, and randomly select from real data to anonymize PII.
RowGen parses the data models of one or more tables and databases to create test data tha conforms to production structures and primary-foreign key relationships.
RowGen also uses the CoSort engine to manipulation, format, and pre-sort the test data going to VLDB load targets, flat files in CSV, LDIF, XML, COBOL and other formats, as well as custom detail and summary reports. RowGen output can insert through ODBC or load directly through bulk load utilities for higher performance.
RowGen uses the same metadata as IRI CoSort and IRI FieldShield so that you can easily transition between test data generation and real data transformation and protection.
All of these tools are also included in the IRI Voracity platform and front-ended in the common IRI Workbench IDE, a powerful GUI built on Eclispe which lets you view and work with both modern and legacy data sources and targets.
